Carnival Cruise Line has announced four new cruise packages that could help passengers save money on popular extras, including drink packages, Wi-Fi, shore excursions and specialty dining.
The new Carnival FunPacks, announced on October 14, 2026, offer savings of up to 55% compared to purchasing the included extras separately.
Available for a limited time, the packages are designed to give Carnival cruisers more flexibility when planning their vacation, with options for families, non-drinkers and passengers who want a more all-inclusive cruise experience.
Carnival is also introducing a new beverage package that includes three alcoholic drinks per day, giving passengers an alternative to the traditional CHEERS! drink package.
Here’s what Carnival cruisers need to know about the new FunPacks, including pricing, what’s included and an upcoming change to drink package and Wi-Fi pricing.
What Are Carnival’s New FunPacks?

Carnival FunPacks are pre-cruise bundles that combine several popular onboard extras into one purchase.
Rather than paying separately for drinks, internet access, specialty restaurants and other experiences, guests can purchase a package that includes multiple benefits.
According to Carnival, the new FunPacks build on the cruise line’s previous Value Packages and were developed using guest feedback.
Four options are available:
- Kidstarter FunPack: $25 per person, per day
- Zero Proof FunPack: $50 per person, per day
- Social FunPack: $60 per person, per day
- Epic FunPack: $99 per person, per day
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are based on Carnival’s U.S. website.
Depending on the package selected, guests can save between 35% and 55% compared to purchasing the included items individually.
What’s Included in Carnival’s Four New FunPacks?
1. Kidstarter FunPack: $25 Per Day
Designed for children and teens ages 3 to 17, the Kidstarter FunPack includes several popular extras for younger cruisers.
The package includes:
- Bottomless Bubbles unlimited soda and juice package
- Souvenir drink cup
- Social Wi-Fi plan
- 1,000 arcade tokens
- Complimentary lanyard
- 50% discount on participating bulk candy at Cherry on Top
Carnival advertises savings of up to 50% with this package.
For families cruising with children who enjoy arcade games, soft drinks and staying connected, this package could be worth considering.
2. Zero Proof FunPack: $50 Per Day
The Zero Proof FunPack is designed for passengers who prefer non-alcoholic drinks but still want additional cruise perks.
The package includes:
- CHEERS! Zero Proof unlimited non-alcoholic beverage package
- Value Wi-Fi plan
- $50 shore excursion discount
- $25 specialty dining discount
The CHEERS! Zero Proof package covers eligible beverages such as specialty coffees, bottled water, smoothies, sodas and non-alcoholic frozen drinks.
Carnival advertises savings of up to 35% with this bundle.
This could be an appealing option for passengers who don’t drink alcohol but enjoy specialty coffees, mocktails and other premium non-alcoholic beverages throughout their cruise.
3. Social FunPack: $60 Per Day
One of the biggest announcements is Carnival’s new Social FunPack, which includes an entirely new beverage option called CHEERS! Social.
Unlike the traditional CHEERS! package, which allows up to 15 alcoholic beverages per day, CHEERS! Social includes three alcoholic beverages daily, along with unlimited eligible non-alcoholic drinks.
The Social FunPack includes:
- CHEERS! Social beverage package
- Three alcoholic drinks per day
- Unlimited eligible non-alcoholic beverages
- Premium Wi-Fi plan
- One specialty dining experience valued up to $55
- One shore excursion valued up to $100
- 50% off eligible spa treatments
- 50% off eligible Dreams Studio photo packages
Carnival advertises savings of up to 50% with this package.
The Social FunPack could be particularly interesting for cruisers who enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine but don’t drink enough to justify Carnival’s traditional CHEERS! package.
It’s worth noting that CHEERS! Social is currently available exclusively through the Social FunPack.
4. Epic FunPack: $99 Per Day
Carnival’s Epic FunPack is the most comprehensive option, offering a combination of drinks, Wi-Fi, dining, excursions and additional onboard perks.
The package includes:
- CHEERS! beverage package with up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day
- Unlimited eligible non-alcoholic beverages
- Premium Wi-Fi plan
- Two shore excursions valued up to $100 each
- Two specialty dining experiences valued up to $55 each
- 50% off eligible spa treatments
- 50% off eligible Dreams Studio packages
- One bottle of sparkling wine
- One bag of wash-and-fold laundry
Carnival advertises savings of up to 55%, making this the package with the highest potential percentage savings.
For passengers who already plan to purchase CHEERS!, premium internet, specialty dining and shore excursions, the Epic FunPack may offer significant value.
However, it’s important to consider whether you’ll actually use the included benefits before purchasing.
Carnival Introduces New CHEERS! Social Drink Package

Perhaps the most interesting change is the introduction of CHEERS! Social.
Previously, Carnival passengers who wanted an alcoholic drink package generally had to choose the full CHEERS! package, even if they only planned to enjoy a few drinks daily.
The new CHEERS! Social option includes:
- Three alcoholic beverages per day
- Unlimited eligible non-alcoholic drinks, including specialty coffees, soft drinks and mocktails
This could be a welcome addition for cruisers who enjoy an occasional cocktail but don’t need the full traditional drink package.
However, there’s one important catch. CHEERS! Social is not currently offered as a standalone package. Passengers must purchase the Social FunPack to access it.
When Can You Purchase Carnival FunPacks?
Carnival FunPacks are being offered for a limited time.
According to Carnival’s October 14 announcement, guests can purchase the packages from October 14 through October 30, 2026, for eligible cruises departing between October 31, 2026, and December 31, 2027.
FunPacks are available through My Cruise Manager on Carnival’s website and must be purchased before sailing.
Passengers should also know that if one guest age 21 or older purchases a FunPack, all guests age 21 or older sharing the same stateroom must purchase the same package.
Some included benefits, such as specialty dining reservations, excursions and spa treatments, must be booked before sailing and are subject to availability.
Unused benefits are not refundable.
Carnival Is Also Changing Drink Package and Wi-Fi Pricing
Along with the introduction of FunPacks, Carnival announced another important change coming later this year.
Beginning December 1, 2026, Carnival will introduce dynamic pricing for beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans.
Rather than using the same pricing structure across sailings, costs will vary based on factors including:
- Cruise length
- Itinerary
- Season
This means passengers could see different prices for beverage packages and internet plans depending on the cruise they book.
Carnival hasn’t provided specific examples of how much prices may increase or decrease under the new system.
For cruisers who like to plan their vacation budget in advance, this is an important change to keep in mind.
Are Carnival’s New FunPacks Worth It?

Carnival’s new FunPacks could offer good value, especially for passengers who already plan to purchase multiple cruise extras.
However, the advertised savings don’t necessarily mean every passenger will save money.
For example, someone who typically drinks only one or two alcoholic beverages per day may find that purchasing drinks individually is less expensive than buying a bundle.
Likewise, passengers who rarely use specialty restaurants, spa services or shore excursions may not get the full value from the more expensive packages.
Before purchasing, it’s worth comparing the FunPack price with the individual cost of the extras you would normally buy.
Also, keep in mind that Carnival’s advertised percentage savings are based on a six-day cruise.
Final Thoughts
Carnival’s new FunPacks are an interesting development, particularly with the introduction of CHEERS! Social.
For passengers who enjoy a few alcoholic drinks per day, the new Social FunPack fills a gap between Carnival’s non-alcoholic and traditional alcoholic drink packages.
The larger bundles could also make it easier for passengers to plan their cruise expenses before sailing.
However, with prices ranging from $25 to $99 per person, per day, it’s still important to do the math before purchasing.
Carnival cruisers interested in these packages can review their options through Carnival’s official FunPacks page.
Would you consider purchasing one of Carnival’s new FunPacks, or do you prefer paying for cruise extras individually?
Happy cruising!
Ethan
