Tea lovers and cruisers alike have a new reason to celebrate! Announced on International Tea Day, Holland America Line is making sea days even better with the Royal Dutch Tea experience.
This complimentary, elevated afternoon tea service, complete with savory and sweet bites, will be available in the dining room on all sea days.
Elevate Your Sea Days with a Taste of Dutch Tradition
Holland America Line’s Royal Dutch Tea is more than just tea; it’s an experience rooted in the cruise line’s Dutch heritage. Whether you’re a tea lover or new to the tradition, the revamped afternoon tea features an impressive array of sweet and savory treats to enjoy as you sip your perfectly brewed tea.
Sweet and Savory Offerings
The Royal Dutch Tea experience is presented in a beautiful three-tiered stand, each level offering a unique selection of delicacies:
NEW TIERED PAIRINGS:

Holland America’s Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage, and rooms division, shares that this upgraded offering pays homage to the line’s 150-year Dutch legacy. “Our guests love the afternoon tea tradition, and we’re excited to enhance this service on sea days with our rich Dutch heritage,” he says.
The Royal Dutch Tea experience will replace the existing afternoon tea service with inclusion of traditional bites. Whether you’re a tea connoisseur or simply appreciate an elegant afternoon while at sea, this new experience is likely to be popular with Holland America guests.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your special anniversary! Have a wonderful cruise!
I would absolutely enjoy this! My husband, children, and I lived in England for 6 years and we had high year in London once. It was lovely! Of course, we lived in a small village in Suffolk and it was an occassional occurrence in the area there. This sounds wonderful!!!
My husband and I will be taking our first cruise with Holland America with friends in May 2024.
