Celebrity Cruises, best known for its Edge Series ocean ships, is officially stepping into river cruising. Two new ships, Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, will debut on the Rhine and Danube rivers in 2027.
Priority Booking Access is now open, allowing guests to reserve their spot with a refundable $500 deposit.

The new ships feature a patent-pending design with more usable outdoor space than any other river vessel. Highlights include:
- 360-degree views from open decks
- Cantilevered Magic Edge dining pods over the river
- A top-deck bar and grill with flexible lounge areas

These outdoor spaces are designed to connect travelers with the scenery and can be enjoyed year-round.
Sustainable Technology
The ships will use hybrid propulsion, advanced waste management systems, and a lightweight hull for smoother navigation and a reduced environmental footprint.

Every stateroom includes king-sized beds, intuitive storage, and a balcony or expansive window. Options range from Infinite Veranda Staterooms to Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites, Vista Balcony Suites, and River View rooms.

Guests can expect stocked mini bars, quality linens, and destination-inspired touches. Suite guests will also have butler service via “Butler Chat,” exclusive dining options, complimentary laundry once per sailing, and priority excursion bookings.

Europe’s Rivers, Reimagined
Rhine and Danube Itineraries
Celebrity will operate 33 seven-night cruises on the Rhine and Danube. These itineraries feature multiple ports per day and overnight stays for deeper exploration. Experiences include wine tastings in Austria, thermal baths in Budapest, cycling along riverbanks, and sailing through the Wachau Valley.
Extended Stays
Guests will be able to book pre- and post-cruise stays in cities like Prague and Budapest, with packages available in 2026.
Extending Loyalty Rewards
Celebrity’s Captain’s Club members will enjoy their loyalty benefits on river cruises. Guests can earn 8 to 18 points per night, with more details on new tier benefits coming in 2026.
