MSC Cruises has officially opened sales for its newest World Class ship, MSC World Atlantic, and to mark the occasion, the cruise line enlisted a familiar and very fitting face. Actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore joined the announcement in her signature warm and playful style.
MSC World Atlantic will begin sailing from Port Canaveral on November 13, 2027, offering year-round, alternating 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Bookings are now open for this highly anticipated new ship.
A Star-Studded Announcement With Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore, who served as godmother to MSC World America, returned to help celebrate the opening of sales for its sister ship. In a newly released video filmed from the MSC Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge, Barrymore reflects on watching her “god daughter” grow up, only to realize the arrival of MSC World Atlantic makes her the ship’s god aunt.
And not just any aunt.
She jokingly crowns herself the “cool god aunt,” bringing humor and personality to the announcement that longtime fans of MSC Cruises will instantly recognize.
Barrymore shared that when she was first asked to be godmother of MSC World America, she felt hesitant, but cutting the ribbon last year was a meaningful and proud moment. Now, that pride extends to welcoming MSC World Atlantic when it arrives in Port Canaveral in 2027.
MSC World Atlantic: A New World Class Ship for the Caribbean
As the fourth ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, MSC World Atlantic continues the line’s focus on blending European style with American comfort, all on a grand scale.
The ship will offer more than 400,000 square feet of public space, seven distinct onboard districts, and over 30 bars, restaurants, and lounges. Guests can expect a mix of international design, global dining, and immersive entertainment, with new venues debuting alongside returning favorites.
Sailings will include alternating 7-night itineraries in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with stops at MSC’s private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, in both routes.

Viva La Musica
One of the standout new spaces onboard MSC World Atlantic is Viva La Musica, a lively bar dedicated to celebrating Latin culture. Guests can enjoy music, salsa dancing, and handcrafted cocktails in a high-energy atmosphere that promises to be a nightlife hotspot.
The Clubhouse
Making its debut in the U.S. market, The Clubhouse is a retro-inspired venue designed to evolve throughout the day. During daytime hours, it offers family-friendly activities and bonding experiences. In the evening, it transforms into a social entertainment space for guests of all ages.

MSC World Atlantic will feature a wide range of attractions designed for families, couples, and luxury travelers alike. Highlights include:
