VidantaWorld Voyages Introduces ELEGANT: A New Luxury Ultra-Yacht Experience

Sharing is caring!

VidantaWorld Voyages is stepping into the luxury cruise space with ELEGANT, a new ultra-yacht experience that’s designed to feel more like a high-end resort at sea than a traditional cruise ship.

The concept combines spacious surroundings, highly personalized service, and destination-focused itineraries that give travelers more time to actually enjoy the Mediterranean rather than simply passing through it.

According to VidantaWorld Voyages, ELEGANT will sail a series of seven-night Mediterranean itineraries from April 11 through October 2, 2026, with another season planned for May through September 2027.

Instead of packing multiple far-apart ports into one sailing, these itineraries are grouped by region, including the French Riviera, Spanish Coast, Azores and Portugal, Greek Islands and Adriatic Sea, and Italian Shores.

A Luxury Ship With Far Fewer Guests

One of the biggest differences with ELEGANT is the amount of space it promises onboard. Vidanta says the vessel was originally built to hold more than 600 passengers, but it will now sail with only 216 guests. That decision is clearly part of the brand’s positioning: less crowding, fewer bottlenecks, and a much more open, relaxed atmosphere throughout the ship.

That extra breathing room is expected to carry through every part of the experience, from the accommodations and lounges to the dining venues and outdoor decks. Rather than the busy feel many travelers associate with cruising, ELEGANT is being marketed as an unhurried, upscale environment where comfort and flow come first.

More Time in Port, Less Rushing

VidantaWorld Voyages is also leaning heavily into the idea of slower travel. ELEGANT’s itineraries are designed with overnight stays, later departures, and more time in destination, which is a big shift from the quick in-and-out port stops many cruisers are used to.

That could mean guests have the chance to enjoy destinations after the daytime crowds have thinned out, whether that’s dinner along the waterfront, an evening stroll, local music, or nightlife that would normally be missed on a standard cruise itinerary.

The company also says tenders will be available on demand, giving guests added flexibility when exploring ashore.

A Service Model Focused on Personal Attention

Another major part of the ELEGANT experience is service. Vidanta says the ship will operate with a near 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, which is a strong signal that the line is aiming for a very high-touch level of hospitality.

Some of the ship’s top accommodations will also include dedicated butler service, adding another luxury element for guests booking higher categories.

The company is also tying ELEGANT to its wider luxury hospitality background. Vidanta is best known for its upscale resorts in Mexico, and it says this same resort-first approach is what shaped the yacht’s overall design and guest experience.

In other words, this is not being presented as a traditional small-ship cruise with a few premium touches, but as a floating luxury resort with a Mediterranean itinerary.

Suites With a More Residential Feel

Vidanta is describing the accommodations aboard ELEGANT as spacious and residential in style, with design choices meant to make the ship feel more like an elegant retreat than a standard cruise vessel.

Some of the larger suite categories will include an extra bathroom, and certain top-tier accommodations will have two full bathrooms, which is a notable perk for guests who want more room to spread out.

About a third of the accommodations will come with butler service, and Vidanta says these butlers are trained by the British Butler Institute, which adds to the premium positioning of the product.

A Resort Atmosphere at Sea

ELEGANT is being built around the idea that guests should feel like they are staying at a luxury resort, just one that happens to move from one stunning Mediterranean destination to another.

Vidanta highlights several key features meant to support that feeling, including wide-open deck areas, multiple lounges, a relaxed pace onboard, and service that is meant to feel intuitive and personalized.

The guest areas have also been redesigned with a warm, modern luxury style. Vidanta says the ship’s public spaces will feature refined textures, upscale finishes, and a calm, residential aesthetic rather than the flashier or busier look sometimes found on conventional cruise ships.

What Guests Can Expect Onboard

Onboard amenities are intended to support that upscale resort-style feel. ELEGANT will include a main pool, four hot tubs, a marina deck with access to the sea, a casino, a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a variety of social spaces ranging from energetic lounges to quieter corners for relaxing.

Vidanta also describes a daily rhythm that feels more relaxed and natural than overly scheduled. Mornings may begin with wellness experiences and quiet time by the pool, while afternoons bring live music in different venues around the ship.

In the evenings, guests can expect a more elevated atmosphere with multiple dining venues, entertainment in the Amura Lounge, themed events on deck, and late-night music under the stars.

Dining Moves Beyond the Traditional Main Dining Room

One of the more interesting details is that ELEGANT will not have a traditional main dining room. Instead, guests will find three dinner restaurants with different culinary concepts: Montelimar for Mediterranean cuisine, Guō for Asian fusion, and Flor de Agave for a premium Mexican dining experience.

In addition to those venues, the ship will also offer casual cafés, snack spots, and eight bars and lounges spread throughout the yacht. The overall dining setup appears to be designed to feel more flexible and more upscale, while also helping avoid the crowding and fixed-flow dining that can happen on larger ships.

Highlights Around the Ship

Vidanta shared several details about what guests will find across different decks. The marina deck on Deck 2 will feature a bar and an inflatable platform for direct access to the sea. Decks 3 and 4 are focused on suites and staterooms, while Deck 5 will be home to restaurants, bars, shopping, the casino, and the intimate Amura Lounge entertainment venue.

Other standout spaces include Deck 7’s pool and sky deck areas, the Hivata Buffet, and even open bridge experiences such as informal coffee moments with the captain. On Deck 8, guests will find more outdoor deck space, including Pure Sky Bar and an aft sky deck with gas fire pits and heaters for relaxing during cooler evenings.

Wellness Designed to Feel Calm, Not Crowded

Vidanta is also emphasizing a wellness experience that feels more peaceful than packed. The Nel Vento Spa & Beauty Salon will include beauty services, treatment rooms, a couples suite, a fitness center equipped by Technogym, yoga and stretch spaces, saunas, and additional quiet areas designed for relaxation.

The idea, according to the company, is to create a spa and fitness environment that feels restorative and easy to use, without the crowds or overbooking that can sometimes take away from the experience on larger ships.

Shore Excursions With a Luxury Focus

The line also says it will offer a dedicated collection of shore excursions tailored to luxury-minded travelers. These experiences are expected to focus on well-known landmarks, local culture, and regional food, all curated to match the ship’s overall upscale style.

Rather than treating each port as a short sightseeing stop, ELEGANT is being positioned as a way to experience the Mediterranean in a deeper, more relaxed way, with time to appreciate the atmosphere of each destination beyond the usual daytime rush.

Final Thoughts

With ELEGANT, VidantaWorld Voyages is clearly aiming to attract travelers who want luxury cruising with more space, more personal attention, and a more immersive pace. The combination of fewer guests, longer port stays, upscale design, and resort-style service could make this a notable new option for travelers looking for something different in the Mediterranean.
