Virgin Voyages is introducing a fresh wave of entertainment designed to captivate both new and returning cruisers. With the upcoming debut of Virgin Voyages new ship, Brilliant Lady, the cruise line is once again reimagining what entertainment at sea can be, blending immersive storytelling, dynamic performances, and vibrant nightlife.
Set to launch in New York this September, Brilliant Lady will showcase an innovative lineup of shows and experiences that push the boundaries of traditional cruise entertainment. Known for its unconventional approach, Virgin Voyages continues to evolve, offering guests new ways to engage, unwind, and enjoy life at sea
A Brilliant Debut
With a fleet already recognized for its high-caliber productions, Brilliant Lady will introduce seven new, original shows, blending comedy, live music, and theatrical storytelling. This new programming is a direct response to Sailor (passenger) feedback, demonstrating Virgin Voyages’ ongoing commitment to innovation and evolution.
The ship’s itineraries are just as compelling as the entertainment onboard. Brilliant Lady will sail voyages from five to 16 nights, visiting destinations like Bermuda’s pink-sand beaches and Alaska’s glacial fjords.
The experience will be further enhanced by Virgin Voyages’ signature Happenings, a series of pop-up events and interactive performances that ensure each sailing is unique.
Entertainment That Breaks the Mold
CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu describes Brilliant Lady’s entertainment as a game-changer:
“Our new shows are just the first of many imaginative experiences we’re unveiling. Thanks to our travel advisors and loyal Sailors, we continue to push the envelope and create entertainment that’s fresh, fun, and completely unique to Virgin Voyages.”
With Resilient Lady having just won the 2025 USA Today 10Best award for “Best Entertainment at Sea,” it’s clear that Virgin Voyages is doing something right. Now, Brilliant Lady is set to build on that momentum with a lineup that’s equal parts immersive, theatrical, and downright exhilarating.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
Red Room Shows:
Red Hot – A high-energy musical revue celebrating five decades of music from Virgin Records’ legendary catalog. Featuring archival footage and anthems that defined generations, this production captures the rebellious spirit of the Virgin brand.
Out of Time – A time-traveling comedy adventure developed in partnership with No Ceilings. When Dr. Victoria Vortex’s time machine malfunctions, audiences embark on a journey through history, encountering a mix of dazzling performances, fashion, and unexpected twists.
The Manor Shows
Up With a Twist – A Roaring Twenties-inspired Supper Club experience where fine dining meets immersive storytelling. Set in Lady Valentina’s Emporium of Excess, this production blends vintage jazz, contemporary hits, and audience participation for a dynamic and engaging performance.
Murder in the Manor – Inspired by the popularity of true crime and classic murder mystery novels, this immersive production invites Sailors to become part of the investigation. Created by No Ceilings, the show follows the mystery of a rockstar’s untimely demise, blending suspense with theatrical spectacle.
Duets – A showcase of timeless duets performed across multiple genres, including Motown, classic rock, and contemporary ballads, all reimagined with jazz-infused arrangements.
Electric – An immersive, UV-lit celebration featuring neon artistry, interactive performances, and a vibrant dance party. This unique event transforms the venue into a visually striking experience.
Disco Reimagined – A revival of classic disco culture with a modern edge. Combining dance, circus elements, and dramatic visuals, this high-energy performance delivers an unforgettable nightclub atmosphere.
Fleet Favorites, Reimagined
Scarlet Night Red Room Glow-Up – Virgin Voyages’ signature Scarlet Night celebration is reimagined for indoor venues, ensuring an equally dynamic experience on nights when the weather prevents outdoor programming.
Duel Reality – A visually stunning acrobatic interpretation of Romeo & Juliet, featuring breathtaking aerial stunts and high-energy choreography. This production made history as the first cruise ship show to transition to a land-based stage, debuting in Boston in 2024.
