If you’re going on a Caribbean, Bahamas or any warm weather cruise, there’s nothing more stylish and comfortable than a dress. My not so secret “secret”, is that many of my favorite resort style dresses are from Amazon.
There are long dresses, short dresses, sleeveless dresses and those with longer sleeves. I especially appreciate finding affordable dresses that are made with a wrinkle resistant fabric – perfect for cruise vacations.
I’ve included my favorite new cruise dresses and swimsuit cover ups from Amazon, and updated this with my latest finds from a recent Amazon fashion haul.
I’ve worn several these cruise outfits during the day and/or evening. Many are quite versatile and get be dressed up or down. Scroll to the bottom for my best purchases of shoes, handbags, carry-ons and travel accessories.

Cruise Wear and Dresses from Amazon

If you’ve seen some of my other cruise outfit posts you’ll recognize some popular dress favorites. I still love and wear these.
However, I was recently on vacation in Florida for 10 days before my cruise on Celebrity Beyond, and added some new dresses that were also perfect for a tropical beach vacation. After each cruise, I continue to add new outfits too.
For reference, I’m 5’2″ and about 140 pounds (these days) and all dresses shown are size small, unless otherwise noted.
1. Pretty Floral Sundress with Pockets
I purchased this this floral sundress on Amazon for my Virgin Voyages Mediterranean cruise and I’m so glad I did! I’ve since worn it on my Carnival Vista Caribbean cruise and plan to wear in on an August AmaWaterways Danube river cruise (can’t wait!).
It’s comfortable, feminine and easy to wash and hang dry. Plus, it has pockets! It’s definately my favorite new dress purchase this year.

Recommended: Floral sundress with pockets (available in other colors too)
2. Ladies Criss-cross Halter Top Dress with Pockets

I wore this halter style dress on my recent Sun Princess cruise and received so many compliments. The material is very comfortable and it packs very easily.

I recently found this maxi dress on Amazon and bought it in pink. It can be worn 2 ways, either criss crossed in the front for a keyhole halter look or as a tank style.
However, you know what they say…
If you like it, get it in different colors! So I did. I now have it in a gorgeous pink, vibrant blue and a blue and white floral. I love these comfortable dresses with pockets for my cruise and beach vacations.
For reference, I’m wearing size small (5″2 & about 140 pounds). It’s a loose style.

Here are the two bathing suits I’m wearing with the black sarong. I love both, but the off the shoulder swimsuit with mesh cut-outs is surprisingly flattering. You do NOT have to be a model to look good in this!

23. Long Black Sleeveless Evening Dress

This long sleeveless evening dress is perfect for cruise formal nights, when many people still “dress up”, but don’t necessarily want to pack a formal evening gown.

This long spaghetti strap sundress has a silhouette that is very forgiving, if you know what I mean. I actually purchased it in white as well, and I love it.

Recommended: Sleeveless boho sundress with pockets (it has over 10,000 Amazon reviews!)

Final Thoughts on Amazon Cruise Wear & Dresses
There are a few places I buy my cruise wear and dresses, from department stores to beach side shops on occasion. However, I over the last few years I’ve bought a lot of my favorite pieces on Amazon.
Beyond the fact that they’re usually a good price, I love to be able to read many reviews and see photos of real people wearing the outfits.
The cruise dresses in this post are some of my favorites, and ones that I get asked about on my YouTube videos, social media posts, and occasionally in real life ;-).
No matter what you wear on a cruise, the most important thing is to feel good. My personal belief is that everyone looks good on a cruise!
Happy Cruising!
Ilana

Hi Ilana, Do you always wear shoes with a heel? You look amazing all the time. Thank you for all the photos and info.

Thanks Delores, no I do wear flat sandals as well as sneakers sometimes. I have been wearing shoes with a little (or bigger) heel or wedge since I was young so its actually very comfortable for me 🙂
My wife & I are cruise people. Your cruise wardrobe is stunning and my wife also enjoys blue colors. My wife & I also on many occasions wear appropriate attire to complement each other. My wife uses sparkly (blue) manicures & (blue) pedicures to further accentuate her appearance. It would be an honor to meet you & your charming husband someday on a future cruise. Until then, keep up the good work promoting cruise clothes and smooth sailing! Best regards, Margaret & Ralph.
You are about the same height as I am. For the longer dresses, do they come in petite or would you have to hem them so they are the right length? Most longer dresses in stores are too long for me at 5 ft.

I’m 5’2 and most are fine for me 🙂
I am curious, do you just go braless with all these dresses? I never see any straps, swimsuit or otherwise. Maybe you’re just super perky! lol I’d love a recommendation for a comfy strapless bra. Thanks!
Hi Iliana,
Thank you for sharing all your beautiful pictures. So many lovely dresses, and cover ups. I’m going on my first cruise in June to the Caribbean. I’m so excited. Of course thinking of the expense of purchasing a new wardrobe really had me worried, until I saw your post. This was so helpful. I’m anxious to check out the dresses on Amazon and will have a sense of relief that I won’t go broke purchasing them.
You looked great in all of the dresses.
Thanks again
Do you wear slip shorts under your shorter dresses? I’d be worried about the wind on a cruise (first timer here!).

I do sometimes – if I’m on the pool deck. Otherwise no 🙂
