Holland America Line’s Pinnacle Grill restaurant has introduced a refreshed menu that brings the flavors of your cruise destinations to the dining table. The new menu features a rotating selection of regional dishes, thoughtfully prepared with local ingredients and freshly sourced fish.
Fans of the popular Pinnacle Grill can rest assured, as signature dishes from renowned Chef David Burke remain core to the menu. Clothesline Bacon isn’t going anywhere!
However, new at Pinnacle Grill is a rotating selection of regional dishes prepared with local ingredients and locally sourced fresh fish, reflecting the flavors of each destination.
Available for both dinner (and lunch on sea days), this enhanced dining experience allows guests to explore a diverse array of tastes from around the world while enjoying the classic steakhouse offerings that the Pinnacle Grill is known for.
Holland America shared what we can expect in a recent press release.
Classic Steakhouse Favorites
The core menu at Pinnacle Grill continues to showcase a selection of well loved steakhouse favorites. Appetizers include David Burke’s signature Clothesline Candied Bacon and the returning Table-side Caesar Salad, along with small plates like the Steakhouse Wedge Salad, Vine Ripened Beefsteak Tomato Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Lobster Bisque, and Ossetra Malossol Caviar*.
For entrees, guests can enjoy premium options such as David Burke’s Braised Beef Short Ribs with Chow Fun Noodles, Filet Mignon, New York Strip, and Boneless Rib Eye. For a more elevated experience, the menu features American Wagyu Strip Loin and Tomahawk Bone-In Rib Eye for Two*.
Other entree choices include Grilled Lamb Chops, Honey-Lemon Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Panko Fried Stuffed Mushrooms, and Dover Sole*.
These dishes are complemented by family-style sides like Creamed Spinach, Asparagus with Hollandaise, Roasted Baby Beets with Blue Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Potato, French Fries, Sautéed Mushrooms, and Beecher’s Lobster Mac and Cheese*.

Local Dishes Highlight Regional Flavors
The regional portion of the menu, which will vary based on each ship’s itinerary, ranges from Jerked Chicken Bao in the Caribbean, to Coconut Seafood Chowder in Hawaii and the South Pacific, to Australian Black Angus Steak Tartare in Australia, and Seared Beef Tataki with Crispy Lotus Chips in Asia.
Here’s a sneak peek at the local flavors you can savor:
Alaska
On Alaska cruises, the menu includes delicacies like Dungeness Crab and Tarragon Salad or Alaska Crab and Corn Chowder. For the main course, Seared Alaskan Halibut with Thai Coconut Red Curry or Roasted Prime Rib Beef with Huckleberries bring the flavors of the rugged landscape to your plate. A Strawberry Romanoff Bread Pudding rounds out the experience.
Asia
Cruising through Asia? Start with Seared Beef Tataki and Crispy Lotus Chips, then move on to Grilled Ribeye Steak Bulgogi or Tandoori Lamb Chop. The Mango Sticky Rice Sushi is the perfect dessert to cap off your meal.
Caribbean
Enjoy the vibrant tastes of the Caribbean with Jerked Chicken Bao or Crab and Shrimp Cakes to start. Main dishes like Lobster Agnolotti or Yellow Tail Snapper will transport you to a tropical paradise. Finish with a refreshing Coconut Pudding.

Canada/New England
On a Canada and New England cruise, imagine Snow Crab and Corn Chowder or Local Quebec Pork and Duck Terrine. For an entrée, choose between Steamed Little Neck Clams or Prince Edward Island Mussels, Atlantic Turbot and Roasted Porcini or Venison Medallion with Huckleberries. Finish with a Chocolate Tart with Marshmallow.
Northern Europe
Start with Seasonal Fresh Morels and Asparagus Risotto or Norwegian-Style Cured Salmon Gravlax. For an entrée, choose between Baked Norwegian Seafood Thermidor, Icelandic Turbo and Roasted Porcini or Venison Medallion with Huckleberries. Finish with Kvaefjordkake for dessert.
Hawaii and South Pacific
Start with Coconut Seafood Chowder or Kalbi Chicken Tacos. For entrees, choose between Crab and Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi, the fresh catch of the day, Kabayaki Pork Belly or Miso Glazed Hawaiian Ono. Finish with Pina Colada Trifle.
Mexico
Start with Rib Eye Tacos or Mexican Corn Soup. For an entrée, choose between Red and Green Grilled Snapper, the fresh catch of the day, Mexican Grilled Tenderloin or Braised Lamb Shank “Birria de Borrego.” Finish with Fresas Con Crema for dessert.
South America
Start with Rib Eye Tacos or Corn Soup. For an entrée, choose between Red and Green Grilled Snapper, Grilled Beef Tenderloin or Lamb Chops “Gaucho” with Lime Mint Chimichurri. Finish with White Chocolate Pave for dessert.
Southern Europe
Start with Seasonal Fresh Morels and Asparagus Risotto or Steamed Fresh Razor Clam. For an entrée, choose between Fresh Branzino Livornese Style, Grilled Iberico Pork Chop or Seared Veal Cutlet. Finish with Creamy Chocolate Parfait for dessert.

Sip and Savor Regionally Inspired Beverages
To complement the new menu, the Pinnacle Grill is also offering region-specific cocktails crafted by internationally renowned mixologists. Whether you’re sipping a cocktail created by Sam Ross in Alaska or enjoying a tropical drink by Jeff “Beachbum” Berry in the South Pacific, each beverage is designed to enhance your culinary journey.
Local wines will also be available to pair with your meal, offering a true taste of the regions you’re exploring.
The Pinnacle Grill Lunch Menu: A Midday Indulgence
If you can’t wait until dinner to experience the Pinnacle Grill, the updated lunch menu is available on sea days. It offers a curated selection of the dinner menu’s most popular dishes, like the Filet Mignon and Grilled Lamb Chops. Lunch at the Pinnacle Grill is a great way to enjoy a leisurely meal during your day at sea.
How to Reserve Your Pinnacle Grill Experience
The Pinnacle Grill’s premium dining experience is available for a supplemental charge, but it can also be enjoyed as part of Holland America Line’s “Have It All” package. Families will appreciate that children 12 and under can dine at half price or even free when ordering from the kids’ menu.
It’s a good idea to make reservations as soon as possible for both lunch and dinner.
