Guests sailing on Nieuw Statendam, Zaandam, Zuiderdam, Volendam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam are among the first to experience the upgrades. Highlights include:

  • Vivace, a new classical string duo or trio, performing on all itineraries.
  • The Dam Band, a live band accompanying both World Stage productions and guest entertainers.
  • Expanded nightly entertainment with fresh set lists and surprise cabaret-style performances in venues like the Crow’s Nest, Lido Pool and Ocean Bar.
  • A new regional soloist program featuring culturally inspired performances tailored to each itinerary, such as steel pan in the Caribbean, mariachi in Mexico and folk guitar in Alaska.

Canada and New England sailings on Volendam and Zuiderdam will also see the return of Breton Thunder, offering both World Stage performances and pop-up shows around the ship.

By August 2025, more than half of the fleet will introduce a reimagined entertainment team. The Cruise Director role will take on a more dynamic presence, supported by an Assistant Cruise Director and a dedicated activities crew.

Guests can expect hands-on cooking demonstrations, tastings, trivia, themed parties and game shows infused with energy and interaction.

Later this year, Travel Guides will return to the fleet, offering engaging destination talks, Q&A sessions and personalized insights for each port. The full team will be in place across all ships by the end of 2025.

A Fresh “Welcome Aboard” Show

Debuting in June on Eurodam, the new Welcome Aboard show offers guests an exciting first-night preview of the entertainment awaiting them throughout the voyage.

Featuring live music, World Stage teasers, Port Talks and a sneak peek at the Orange Party, the show sets the tone for the entire cruise. It will be introduced fleetwide through 2026.

Signature Productions Return

Several popular shows from the 2025 Grand Voyages are making their way to more ships, including:

  • Curtain Up – A Broadway-to-West End musical journey.
  • Dance! – A celebration of choreography from around the world.
  • Rock Britannia – A tribute to British rock icons of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
  • Solid Gold – A throwback to the electrifying music of the ’70s.
  • Crossroads – A soulful showcase of country and folk legends.
  • It’s A Swing Thing – Swing-era classics and toe-tapping big band hits.

These enhancements reflect Holland America Line’s commitment to creating immersive, destination-focused experiences. Guests can continue to enjoy nightly live music at Billboard Onboard, Rolling Stone Lounge and B.B. King’s Blues Club, along with cultural Up Close presentations and live port briefings.

On Alaska cruises, National Park Service rangers and onboard wildlife experts provide unique commentary and interpretation as the ship sails through Glacier Bay.

With a focus on high-energy performances, authentic cultural programming and enhanced guest interaction, Holland America Line’s entertainment evolution promises a richer, more engaging experience across the fleet.
