Princess Cruises made some significant updates to their Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages a few days ago. While many were happy overall with the changes – this included an addition of shore excursion credits and the removal of Princess Desserts and some other less popular benefits – there was one aspect that was met with mixed reviews.
However, Princess has done something we rarely see in cruising. They heard the cruise community feedback on the Princess Plus beverage package, and have made a change.
Here’s the quick updated information, but I will share the details about the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages below so you can get the full picture
Good News Update:
Specialty coffee and teas are now unlimited in the Plus package and will NOT count towards the 15-drink daily limit.
This is great news for Princess cruisers, as the value of the Princess Plus package remains one of the very best in the industry.

Key Things to Know
2025 sailings booked before July 22, 2025 keep the original package perks (even if they’ve been removed later).
The new inclusions and pricing apply to 2026 sailings booked on or after July 22, 2025.
For those that prefer to cruise without a package, standard Princess pricing remains.
Is Princess Plus or Princess Premier Worth it?
Starting at $65 a day, Princess Plus will be worth it for many cruisers. When calculating the crew appreciation (gratuities), cost of wifi, and a beverage package – these perks alone are a great value. However, it’s best to calculate for yourself to see what works best for you.
We have been getting the Premier Package on recent Princess Cruises, and love the specialty dining options, along with the photo package. Funny enough this was something we never really used before, but since our cruises have included family, it’s been a nice perk to have both printed and downloaded professional cruise photos. The additional shore excursion credit is a nice benefit that many cruise travelers will find useful.
Of course, like all cruise purchases, it’s best to do the math to see what is worth it to you.
Your Thoughts?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the packages, and which, if any, do you like best?
Happy Cruising!
