MSC Cruises Unveils 12 Big New Features Coming to MSC World Asia in 2026

MSC Cruises has officially begun the one year countdown to the arrival of its newest flagship, MSC World Asia. Launching in December 2026, the state of the art World Class ship will invite guests to experience the Art of Cruising with an elevated blend of innovative design, inspired dining, immersive entertainment and Asia influenced style.

Sailing weekly Mediterranean itineraries beginning 4 December 2026, MSC World Asia will bring subtle design elements throughout the ship that reflect the culture, art and landscapes of Asia. The ship will offer returning guest favourites along with brand new experiences created especially for this vessel.

With one year to go until launch, MSC Cruises is unveiling 12 key highlights that will define the MSC World Asia experience.

12 New Features Onboard MSC World Asia

Dragon Sculpture

A dramatic stainless steel dragon measuring 12 metres long and nine metres wide will hang above the World Promenade, suspended 10 metres overhead. The installation features nearly 700 mirrors and 3,000 LED lights that illuminate each evening to create a striking visual centrepiece.

Mediterranean Itineraries

Beginning 4 December 2026, the ship will sail seven night Mediterranean voyages calling in Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta throughout Winter 2026 and 2027. Summer 2027 itineraries will call in Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina and Valletta.

The Spiral at Tree of Life

Set to become the longest dry slide at sea at 81.3 metres, this signature ride will let guests travel between 12 decks in seconds. The new design takes inspiration from the iconic trees found in Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay.

Pan Asian Street Food

A new speciality venue dedicated to Southeast Asian flavours from Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia. With dine in and grab and go options plus a terrace, this restaurant will deliver a vibrant culinary journey designed to bring regional street food culture to sea.

The Harbour

This redesigned outdoor family park within the Family Aventura district will feature Asian inspired styling and a variety of attractions. Highlights include the Cliffhanger over water swing ride rising 50 metres above the sea, a high ropes course, aquapark, children’s playground and The Harbour Bar & Bites offering a range of complimentary treats.

The Clubhouse

A colourful, retro inspired space designed for energetic family fun. By day it features classic table games, the LEGO Family Zone, bumper cars, basketball and roller skating. By night it transforms into a lively social venue with entertainment for all ages.

All Stars Sports Bar

MSC Cruises’ first all American sports bar to sail in Europe will offer a true game day atmosphere with large screens, interactive games, an outdoor sea facing terrace and a menu of comfort bar food.

Largest MSC Yacht Club Selection

MSC World Asia will feature the biggest variety of MSC Yacht Club accommodations ever offered. Options include the new Royal Duplex Suite with two bedrooms for up to six guests, multi room Owner Suites and Royal Suites with whirlpool bath. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to the private lounge, restaurant and sundeck plus personalised round the clock butler and concierge service.

More Than 40 Bars, Lounges and Restaurants

The ship will include six speciality dining venues, guest favourites such as Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki and Hola Tacos and Cantina, as well as the new Pan Asian Street Food concept. Additional details of new fast casual venues will be announced soon. Guests will also find MSC’s classic British pub with a working micro brewery and Sweet Temptations, a dedicated spot for desserts and treats.

Seven Onboard Districts

Echoing the design of MSC World America, MSC World Asia will feature seven themed districts including Family Aventura, Zen Area, Aqua Deck, The Terraces, Galleria, Promenade and MSC Yacht Club. Each district offers its own atmosphere, amenities and experiences to help guests personalise their cruise.

More Than 20 Accommodation Types

From luxury suites to ocean view balcony cabins, promenade view balconies, connecting family options and comfortable interior staterooms for solo travellers, the ship will offer an extensive range of accommodations suited to every style of traveller.

Wellness and Relaxation

The ship will feature a full array of wellness facilities including the Aurea Spa with massages and beauty treatments, a Technogym powered fitness centre with ocean views, The Gentleman’s Barber, seven pools including aft facing Zen pools and 13 whirlpool baths.

Entertainment Around the Clock

Guests can enjoy spectacular stage shows, an array of live music, multiple entertainment venues and activities designed for every type of traveller. From energetic games to relaxing lounges, MSC World Asia will offer endless ways to spend each day and night at sea.
