Did Virgin Voyages change their adult-only “no kids” policy with their new offer? I admit I had to do a double take when I saw this Virgin Voyages press release:
“This Summer Only, Kids Sail Free Aboard Virgin Voyages – Richard Branson’s cruise line invites kids on-board for multi-gen holidays on the high seas“
However this “kids sail free” offer is a twist on a popular cruise line promotion. There’s no need to have a heart attack, this BOGO type promotion applies to adults aged 18-26.
Virgin Voyages Defines “Kids”
“If you’re old enough to vote, you’re old enough to sail” was the thinking that inspired Virgin Voyages’ (cheeky) definition of “children.” As a brand celebrated for its adults-only atmosphere, the company is changing its tune and answering the call of its Sailors to bring their (adult) children on-board. Whether your (not so) little ones are about to graduate, head off to college or be bumped from their current health insurance, there’s truly no better way for parents to celebrate with their grown-up kids than aboard Virgin Voyages’ award-winning fleet.”
Family Cruises with Adult Kids
Virgin Voyages might be onto something. After all, family and multi-generational cruises don’t stop when the kids are 18.
From interactive entertainment for all ages, amazing food and dining, plus summer camp style activities like dodgeball and bracelet making, Virgin Voyages offers a fun experience for young adults.

How Does Virgin’s Kids Sail Free Promotion Work?
Book a 2024 voyage in a Central Sea Terrace or below for two, and the second sailor aged 18-26 sails for free. This limited-time offer is available through August 23rd, 2024, subject to availability.
Travel dates range from July 23, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and apply to all regions and ships. Certain conditions apply and all sailings (like Holiday sailings) may not be included.
