NCL Transforms “Free at Sea” into “More at Sea” with Better Perks and Value

Norwegian Cruise Line New More at Sea Perks Program

Sharing is caring!

Norwegian Cruise Line’s popular “Free at Sea” perks program was a hit with cruise travelers for over a decade! Now, NCL is introducing a new and improved version called “More at Sea.”

This upgraded package builds on what cruisers loved about “Free at Sea” by offering even more dining options, better drink selections, faster internet, and enhanced perks, all designed to elevate your vacation experience.

Here’s what you can expect from the evolution of NCL’s Free at Sea to More at Sea.

Why NCL Introduced “More at Sea”

Norwegian Cruise Line decided to make changes to Free at Sea after listening to guest and travel partner feedback. Passengers shared that they wanted more variety, better options, and a simpler cruising experience.

According to NCL President David J. Herrera, “We have invested a lot of time listening to our guests and our travel partners…and we’ve found that what they want is to see more, do more and enjoy more when they vacation with us.

They also want to do so with ease and simplicity, which is why today we are excited to announce the evolution of our signature ‘Free at Sea’ package to the all-new and elevated ‘More At Sea’ package.”

With NCL’s More at Sea package, cruisers can now enjoy an even more fulfilling vacation.

When Does More at Sea Start?

The “More at Sea” package officially starts on January 1, 2025, but guests don’t have to wait until then to take advantage of it. You can book cruises now with the “More at Sea” perks for any voyages departing from January 1, 2025, onward.

This means if you’re planning a cruise for next year, you’ll already be able to enjoy these new benefits when your trip begins.

What’s Included in the “More at Sea” Package?

1. Unlimited Open Bar

The “Unlimited Open Bar” option has been upgraded to offer a wider range of premium beverage brands across every spirit category.

You’ll now have access to top-shelf brands such as:

  • Grey Goose vodka
  • Casamigos tequila
  • Woodford Reserve bourbon whiskey

In addition, more than 100 specialty cocktails will be available at over 80 bars across the fleet. Guests sailing on Prima Class ships can also enjoy exclusive cocktails at the award-winning Metropolitan Bar, which focuses on sustainable craft drinks.

2. Specialty Dining Package

The “Specialty Dining Package” will now offer even more dining flexibility. On cruises of seven days or longer, you’ll receive extra specialty dining meals. These meals will include more food choices, with up to three appetizers and three desserts included per meal.

To simplify things, NCL is also moving away from á la carte pricing. Starting in 2025, specialty dining will have a flat cover charge, making the experience easier and more enjoyable for guests.

3. Wi-Fi Package

The “Wi-Fi Package” is getting a major boost with faster internet powered by Starlink’s high-speed Wi-Fi. More at Sea offers more minutes per stateroom than the previous Free at Sea program.

Each guest in the stateroom will now receive 150 minutes of internet access. This means everyone can easily stay connected without having to share logins or worry about slow speeds.

4. Shore Excursions Credit

The popular “Shore Excursion Credit” continues to offer a $50 credit per excursion for the first guest on each port visit, helping you save money on exploring destinations.

5. Free Airfare for the Second Guest

The “Free Airfare for the Second Guest” perk remains, allowing the second guest in your cabin to fly for free when booking through NCL’s program, making your vacation more affordable.

6. Third and Fourth Guests Sail Free

Families or groups can take advantage of the “Third and Fourth Guests Sail Free” offer on select voyages, which allows additional passengers to cruise without paying extra fares in the same stateroom.

Enhanced Entertainment

NCL is also enhancing its entertainment options under the “More at Sea” package. In 2025, they’ll debut new and improved shows. One of the most anticipated productions is “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince,” premiering on the Norwegian Aqua.

Additionally, popular shows like “Elements” and “Syd Norman’s Presents: Rumours” (a tribute to Fleetwood Mac) are being expanded and updated, giving guests even more to enjoy during their cruise.
