Celebrity Cruises is reimagining romance at sea with exciting new experiences aboard its highly anticipated ship, Celebrity Xcel.
Launching in November 2025, the next ship in Celebrity’s award-winning Edge Series is set to deliver an unforgettable couples’ escape with elevated dining, dynamic entertainment, and immersive nightlife. Every element is designed to turn date night into an all-day affair.
“Date Night, All Day Long”: A Fresh Concept at Sea
Celebrity Xcel will introduce the cruise line’s first-ever brunch concept at Bora, a new al fresco rooftop venue with panoramic views and a Mediterranean-inspired menu. From its lively brunches to intimate, chef-led dinners, Bora is designed to be a versatile space that shifts seamlessly from day to night.
Cruise guests can enjoy brunch staples with a twist, such as shakshuka with avocado and sourdough toast or croissant eggs benedict with lemon-scented salmon gravlax and ricotta spread. Customizable Bloody Marys enhance the experience with extravagant garnishes, upbeat live music, and a vibrant seaside atmosphere.
In the evening, Bora sets the stage for romantic dinners under the stars. Guests can indulge in dishes such as seared branzino, lamb tagine with saffron couscous, and carabinero prawns. These culinary creations are served alongside Greek ballads and Italian love songs to complete the ambiance.
More Entertainment, More Performers, More Connection
Celebrity Xcel will also debut the most expansive entertainment lineup in Celebrity Cruises history. With more than 75 resident performers on board, the ship will offer three brand-new theatre productions created by top talent from Broadway, Hollywood, and global music tours.
Guests can expect high-energy performances from singers, dancers, and acrobatic parkour artists, all supported by state-of-the-art stage technology. The theatre’s LED screens, kinetic lighting, and immersive sound design are engineered to elevate the show experience for every guest.
Lisa Lehr, Vice President of Entertainment for Celebrity Cruises, shared that this all-new lineup is meant to create memorable moments of connection from morning to night.
Entertainment venues across the ship will feature interactive shows, destination-themed festivals, and a variety of music and dance experiences to match any mood.
Nightlife Experiences Designed for Every Couple
Even after dinner, date night on Celebrity Xcel is just getting started. Guests can choose from candlelit concerts, 80s glam parties, country music nights, or live sing-alongs at the onboard piano bar. The Club will host two new immersive shows that transport guests to different eras through music, performance, and audience participation.
The cruise line’s popular Shine the Night party also returns, this time with a refreshed format that encourages guests to dance beneath the stars in an electrifying open-air celebration.
Where Celebrity Xcel Will Sail
Celebrity Xcel will make her debut in November 2025 with seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale. Destinations include the Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
In the summer of 2026, the ship will begin her inaugural European season with sailings from Barcelona and Athens. These Mediterranean voyages will range from seven to eleven nights and include new overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal, offering a deeper destination immersion for couples looking to extend their romance ashore.
