1. Cabin Organization with Magnet Clips
Upon stepping into your cabin, you’ll likely be greeted with a lot of paper – from daily schedules to shore excursion details. You may have event invitations and wifi instructions.
This can quickly clutter your desk space, and lead to missing out on some important information.
Use magnet clips to hang up this vital information on the walls of your cabin, keeping everything neatly organized and easily accessible throughout your cruise vacation.

2. Create Extra Storage with Magnet Hooks
Cabin space can be limited, but magnets can help you make the most of it. Utilize quality magnetic hooks to create additional vertical storage space, hanging up items like hats, bags, or jackets to keep them out of the way.
Recommended: Magnet hooks (heavy duty 80lb plus)
3. Decorate Your Cabin
Personalize your cabin with magnet decorations. These can be fun signs that you can put on your cabin door or decorations for the interior space.
Some cruisers like to bring along some decorative magnets to attach photos or other mementos, adding a personal touch to your living space.
4. Dry Wet Clothes
Avoid hanging wet swimsuits in the cabin bathroom, as this just takes too long (it stays pretty humid). Instead, place magnet hooks near a balcony door or in a larger space where air will circulate and dry your wet clothing there.
Recommended: Magnet hooks (heavy duty 80lb plus)
5. Hang Your Cruise Key Card
Your cruise card is your ticket to everything onboard, so you’ll want to avoid losing it at all costs. Here’s a simple solution. Use a cruise lanyard for your cruise key card and hang it on a magnet hook near the cabin door.
This way, you’ll be able to take it on and off the hook every time you come in or our from your stateroom.
Recommended: Cruise lanyard & luggage tag holders set (best value)
6. Leave Messages on a Magnetic White Board
Use a magnetic message board to leave messages for your cabin mates or cabin attendant. Something fun to do is to leave a magnetic white board on your cabin door.
This way, other cruise passengers who walk by can sign it and leave messages.

A portable travel clothesline with clips are useful to hang several items to dry. However, you might be wondering where to hang it? Use heavy duty magnet hooks to secure each end and hang on the wall.

8. Magnetic Wall Toys for Kids
Cruising with young children? Keep them entertained with magnetic toys or puzzle pieces that can stick to the cabin walls.
While you can buy these, you can also you a dollar store DIY hack and make your own. Look for magnet strips that can be cut, the stuck on onto puzzle pieces or other items.
9. Magnetic Spice Rack
If you’re a foodie who likes to bring along your own spices or condiments, consider bringing a magnetic spice rack for your cabin. You can store popcorn seasoning, spices, hot sauce and more.
I admit I never would have thought of bringing a magnetic spice organizer. However there’s a couple, Living Phase 2, who are onboard Royal Caribbean’s Ultimate World Cruise who shared the idea.
10. Hang an Over the Door Shoe Organizer
Eliminate clutter and keep all your items visible and handy by using an over the door organizer. It can be used for everything from storing flip flops, to sunscreen and toiletries, to whole outfits for kids!
While this can be hung over a bathroom door, some cruise lines don’t permit this (it may cause damage). Instead, you can use strong magnetic hooks and hang your hanging cruise organizer on the ceiling. This will allow the over the door organizer to support more weight.
